Wanted to archive their reading achievements this summer. Emma took on a really difficult book that her Tito Fred gave her last Christmas, that was almost 500 pgs. long, but she finished it. Although not all the books were shown, Zi finished 6 books, mostly from the Dr. Seuss series. Her reading & fluency really flourished this summer since I had more time to spend reading actively with her. Emma was also a huge help when I couldn’t read with her. Even though summer was a time to rest and play, I’m really proud their hard work. I sometimes felt guilty making them read every day during the summer, but those tiny minutes during the day really goes a long way in the long run. #youngreaders #summerreading #success #smallthings #readeveryday #twelvesixteen #9yrs #5yrs #drseuss #keeperofthelostcities
Seven years ago, he beat me to saying ‘I love you.’ I handed him a long letter, and he handed me a short line. Of course, we had individually decided before meeting, having brought the cards to the table, to show our hands. I didn’t say it because he said it, and vice versa. The unconventional detail was that this was our first date. Yes, our official date anniversary was also the first time we dropped the ‘L’ bomb. Seems rushed, but from that date, we already both knew it was the other. Someone once asked me how I knew Perze was really the one, I had to honestly say it was because God confirmed it in my heart when I took a season to just pray for him as a friend, and then eventually as a life partner. And He also confirmed His will by placing the same in Perze to pray for me. Now I know that relationships don’t always go by this recipe, but this one was our love story. I remember praying for him everyday, as I pray for my daughters now. So eventually, as they grow older, I hope it serves as a testament that […]

I just finished upgrading the twelvesixteen.net site using the movabletype engine. It took me a long while to figure out which module goes where, but Thank God for online helpers. If you want to setup your own site with the movable type engine, you can check out the install document that came along with the download. If you are as thick headed as I am you’d probably need extra help. You can use google to sarch for installation tutorials, or you can go to blogpros.com. They have a lot of great articles. Thanks guys!!! That’s it for me, God Bless.
