a little bummed with wordpress
as of right now, i can’t seem to figure out why my individual author feed is not returning anything. something is funnily awry, and i just can’t quite put my finger into it.

Over the past five years, twelvesixteen website gave me the chance to learn and implement various web related disciplines. From PHP, CSS, XML, javascript and various web apps such as wordpress, coppermine, etc. Last night was a major step in finishing this overhaul. Over the past couple of days Marchesa has been busy tweaking the overall look and feel of the site … I helped. The first challenge we encountered was the multiple platforms that we use to deliver content … I mean blogs, pictures, updates, video, whatever. With the diversity of the choices out there it seemed very tiresome to maintain 4 different blogs in a multitude of blogging platforms. Even if you just want to mirror your entries among all platforms it gets annoying after a while. We needed a solution *cough* *opensocial* that would enable us to bring all these platforms together without leaving all our “friends” in the dark. Marchesa and I have a boatload of blogs out there and one major requirement is that we should be able to bring in if not all, most of our blog entries from every single platform. Here is a sample list of my backend requirements, * import entries […]
This past week took a huge step towards the future when it comes to mobile applications … for my world at least because Google ported another awesome application to the denizens of the mobile world. I’m going to highlight some apps that I can’t live without (or better known as .. Apps that make my wife hate me because I end up fiddling with my phone too much).
I learned a very simple yet important rule in web management today. To some it might just be a way to conserve the appearance to the page, make it look a little neat. In this world of SEO optimized web pages the basic currency is now your page views.
For the longest time, I’ve been using AvantGo as my main Mobile Content Application. I really like what they’ve done with their recent upgrades especially when they give you the option in adding an RSS feed and on top of that, you can basically save up to 5 articles from that feed for later reading. My one main gripe is the synchronization process. For the more experienced users out there, you know that if you have 20 or more channels saved in your profile, it takes literally forever to save the data. It does not only take forever but you’d have to have a 100% sync completion before you can read anything. Bottomline is that if you perform a wireless sync and you get interrupted at 99%, it’s as if you did 0%. now say that more calmly of there are over 1000+ pages you are trying to save. So annoying. I must admit that I have my share of the problem. Since my Treo 650 has only 32 measly megabytes of storage, I rely on my 2GB SD card for most of my storage needs. Photos, videos, music, etc. That includes Avantgo synchronized files. In this world where technology […]
So opera released their latest and greatest Upgrade. Eat that IE7! Go Home Firefox 2! Opera 90.1 is here.
I just upgraded our Movable Type blog engine to their latest and greatest version(3.2). I’m impressed especially with the instant handling of system wide plicies like trackbacks, comments and stuff. I still have to read on it’s other capabilites when i have the time. i’ll give a full review when i get a lot of stuff off my plate.
