OK. So this week, I went in to see the pictures taken professionally at J&J of Zi and Zem. Now, the only reason I complied was because they gave out a free 8×10 portrait with my purchase. Normally, I don’t believe in paying for professional photos done in a store. I would GLADLY have one of my awesomely talented family members or friends take their pictures, or have myself do it and retouch it myself. The reason why I am usually against these store photos is because it’s cliche; the poses, the overrated contrived shapes, props, background, lighting, etc. I’m not saying that these professional stores can’t guarantee a nice shot, but I don’t want to pay a kidney for something that can be duplicated with my own makeshift white background and camera, and have them explain to me the wonders of their touch-up skills, as if it were magic. I just didn’t want to tell them that I can make someone have 13 fingers in photoshop. I’m more amazed with a select few of my family & friends who have, not just a talent for the camera, but an eye for the beautifully obscure, and creativity to create a […]
I wish I had a better camera but here’s what Em looked like at that day we got their pictures. She received a lot of smiles that day. Note: the purse, nor the scarf were not my idea, although they added a great touch, didn’t they? My daughter is like me, likes to accessorize. They were gifts given to her from her Lola Ruth; the scarf was personally hand knitted by Lola, with love. She really prefers to wear that specific scarf. Below, she’s posing right outside my favorite store; they have one of my favorite backgrounds. I bought the same dress and boots for baby Sienna. My sister is due any day now, so we’re all excited for her birth. Christmas at lola and lolo’s house is going to be happily and joyfully chaotic.
Yay. I know it’s been a week.5 but I was finally able to set up Zi’s Photo corner in our twelvesixteen gallery. Click here: Zienne Noelle Photo Gallery You can also view her first week in our 2009 albums. There’s a direct link to our photo gallery on the left top module. We’ll try to update it every now and then, although these days, I doubt we’ll be able to do it often.
