Zi’s First Worship Service

Zi attended her first worship service today at SJBCI.  She was mentioned from the pulpit during the welcome and announcements, and after the service, everyone crowded to get a peek of our newest addition.  Of course, Em was protective enough to stay close to her baby sister, and sneaky enough to also get passing compliments and attention for being the older sister.  Nice one, Ate. This just about marks another milestone we’ve had in this church and building.  First, it’s where Perze and I met, where we exchanged vows, where we dedicated our first daughter, and now, where we brought our second daughter.  God bless this church.  It was fitting that the message was about the church family. I also can’t help it, but I always find myself taking very similar photo shots resembling Emma when she was Zi’s age.  The picture on the left was taken this afternoon at the church during service, very reminiscent of the one I took of Perze and Em during Em’s first visit. Welcome Zi.  They are like a second family.  You’ll have many milestones with them, and they will see you go through them with smiles and glee.

this weekend was pretty good… my family has decided (when i say family, it’s really my parents and my older brother) to paint the walls of our house and add some “enhancing” wall “stuff” (stuff meaning i just don’t know what they’re called, it’s on the tip of my tongue but my laziness in concentrating refuses to cooperate). anyways. so my downstairs of the house is so messy and i’m constantly cleaning the kitchen to gain some equilibrium…it’s no feng shui…it’s truly disturbing, but wow. i’m impressed with “toto”…so i’ve been helping out when i can… this weekend: parties galore. missed friday. saturday- went to rogie’s dad’s b’day party where i saw kitty lhei just disregarded any feelings of the floor and told it with wild authority, “YOU’RE MINE!” ow. with an audrey outfit, i was out fit to dance, but reeny gladly joined the cat in a frenzy of Achy (Gimme a)breaky Heart as she stepped all over the floor like an ex boyfriend. The highlight of the night was when rogie dropped his “bread(?)”…let’s just say, “doooo-nuts…..duffffffff”. hahahaha next party!! we decided the young crowd wasn’t for us (no Egypt, no waterfront). we went to Ate Cynth’s housewarming […]

Prayer Partner

today in church, God showed me love. when it came to find prayer partners, ate grace softly suggested we be partners. As she prayed for me, she sounded so sincere…she prayed for direction for my life. After we prayed, i saw her wipe her tears. i was deeply moved that she could care that much for me. after the message, pastor ding asked people to get up and go to someone who they felt needed to be prayed for. i closed my eyes and felt someone sit by me. i opened my eyes and kuya rodel was right there telling me that the Spirit impressed it to him to pray for me because i was struggling with something. As he prayed for me, tears came down and i opened my eyes because all he said were true. Sometimes Kuya Rodel can really hit the truth of where my arrows lie. As he continued to pray, he said this,”i don’t know what you’re going to do with this girl, but i know she is so special, and you’re going to do great things in her…Lord, fill her with love when we are absent.” “Fill her with love when we are absent.” […]
