I’m gonna go ahead and maximize on the use of substitution to get across a very funny conversation I had with Zi without being too obscene. I’m gonna need my readers to have a really good imagination as to what “Oh Lord, Really? Why?!” is…so go ahead and take some time to ponder what that is for a bit. Zi: Mama, do you still have a “Oh Lord, Really? why?!” ? Me: ummm…what the, why?? Zi: Because Lola said that when you get older, you lose your “Oh Lord, Really? Why?!” . Me: What in the world?! Zi: Does Lola still have her “Oh Lord, Really? Why?!” ?? Me: According to Lola, no. ———— Thanks for coming, folks! Until next time.
Zienne, As I was watching TV while taking care of Elle, you indirectly caught my attention by singing and playing the ukelele. I realized you were making up your own song because of the lyrics. “Maybe someday you will believe in God. Someday you’ll see He loves you. Let me tell you the story. They covered Him and put Him on the cross. On Easter. Maybe someday you’ll believe.” You’re only four, yet what God had imparted to you, the good news of salvation, His love, the realization that not everyone accepts His love, and your ability to want to share this truth is truly inspiring. I only pray I can be this bold, Zi. Thank you for reminding me.
Emma: when you exercise, your heart beats faster because the heart has to pump more blood to your body. If you hold your breath, your heart slows down and if you don’t breath, your heart stops beating. Zi: Ya! And if you go to sleep, your heart slows down because it doesn’t have to pump blood anymore because you’re not exercising. So when you wake up, your heart is slow again.
