I was wary about upgrading to WordPress 2.5 because it was a major upgrade. They did skip v2.4, don’t know why but don’t really care. The new version does have its perks. It now has a better Media Gallery. Easier upload interface based on a yahoo widget. You can find a sample of the gallery below, showcasing my little emma. One other feature that I used to miss from Xanga was the ability to create Private posts. Well in this build you can totally do that now without it showing up in any of the feeds. You’d have to use the built-in editor for it though. Thats it for now. I’m still exploring other multimedia capabilities only to find out that in order for me to create a more seamless user experience, I need plugins that would cater to those needs. WordPress 2.5.1 is on the wings to address some uploading issues specifically with IE7. I guess i’ll have to wait for that too.
so you can’t just stick in the iphone to any speakers. you’d need a headset adapter to listen to your music on stereo speakers. for that you’d want to get the belkin headphone adapter to stick in your iphone and connect the regular stereo adapter. sound works great, the item is very sturdy, and belkin’s always a reliable brand. now i can buy portable speakers. but that’s another review blog. source: ebay.com price: $8.50 status: own
twelvesixteen.net Added Reference to feed. You can now subscribe to all our entries from this page. Added the ability to display the 7 latest entries hoping our bounce rate declines a little bit. it’s currently at 23%, which is not that bad. This just gives them more reason to click through our entries. Upgraded WordPress backend to 2.3.3 Upgraded Share This Plugin to 2.1 Guest Map This page provides a geographical representation of the visitors of this site. Evil Ads, Ads will now be shown when these properties hold true Footer Leaderboard Ad – All Entries Sidebar Ad – category pages Tweener Ad – Entry Pages Interstitial – Every three page views, every six hours I know how much ads annoy people but check this out, in 2006 companies spent $16.8 Billion on ads alone. This site costs roughly $6 a month to maintain. So I just need to find a way to earn the $6 per month back. If I do get pretty good at this I might earn enough to pay for Emma’s college tuition (*cough* *not gonna happen* *cough*). These ads are not final, I’m going through a process called multivariate testing where over a course of […]
This minor release doesn’t really affect twelvesixteen.net but it’s always to good to have the latest and greatest stable codebase. If you use wordpress as a community site and enabled user registration, then you need to upgrade to this release since this fixes an xml-rpc exploit that allows a user to edit posts from other users. More details of the actual release package after the jump.
One of the gifts I got from my wife this Christmas is the Ceiva LF4008. This 8 inch digital frame is a thing of beauty. It has a built in external memory card reader and can display 500 pictures at a time. The optimum size of the image that you can use for this digital frame is 800 x 600. It does have the capability to crop and fit your pictures in the event that it is vertical and not horizontal. I really love how this frame renders its pictures , you won’t even notice that this is a digital frame, the non-glossy surface of the LCD screen makes it look like its one of those static frames. This device has the uncanny feature of self updating its pictures but you’d have to shell out $7.95 per month for a premium service. For you to be able to do that, you would have to either connect via a phone line (are you kidding me?) or buy a couple of their adapters so you can either connect via Ethernet or through a Wi-Fi connection. The fact that they didn’t include those in the box, makes me kind of peeved as a […]
there’s too many things going on right now in the interweb. ask al gore, he invented it. he’ll probably tell you that there are evil lurkers that are trying to get into your brain from your computer through the interwebmation sumaperhighway. hackers they call these people, because they can hack through your security system like a hot red samurai during tsujigiri testing. these people are so vile that they’ll make your red status led lights turn purple. a new breed of detectives are rising. the nerdy ones to counter these hackers. ones armed with a +255 innate ability for sniffing where these hackers are. whether you are a 12 year old kid from iceland trying to call the president, or a l33t member of a crack keygen squad, they are on to you like filipinos on white rice. there might be some posers who’d claim they are uber cyber forensicists but the real ones, you won’t even know that they were there. like a cyber ninja ready to strike when the next hackermurai passes along unstealthily.
