i absolutely heart fashion…i love beautiful things, colorful things, vintage things, things through the different eras and relating them to today.  I admit, I have an old soul.  This goes for my fashion & music.  I’m not very keen on excessively tight clothing, Jersey shore style, club clothes.  I love very Kate Spade, your grandmother’s closet (pre-grandchildren years), mod and and audrey.  I found a website with two ladies who share my love of these things- fashion, music, AND glasses!  If they would, I wish they’d make me the third musketeer…although the shortest one. I mean, everyone needs an Asian to finish the equation! kate spade swim team short necklace

i know a sec ret i know where to buy kate spade jewelry for more than 50% off. so this one was on a really great sale from $200.  it’s a short gold necklace that adorns so beautifully.  wallflowers, beware.  this is an attention grabber because of the size.

Seychelles Clue Bootie

Seychelles usually doesn’t disappoint. What vintage loving woman doesn’t like fringe and tassels? This runs true to size, only, I have tiny ankles so the back of my ankle comes out a little every time I walk. It’s not as secure as I’d like, but it’s not like my foot comes out so it’s fine. For fall, once I start wearing socks, it’ll fit perfectly. The leather is quality, and still stretches well and easily for you to get your foot into it. The height is perfect, not too low, yet comfortable when you walk in it for a long time. The only con which I’ll probably get used to is the inaccurate color. I got the mushroom version and it’s darker in person than the almost grey that’s pictured on the website. It’s more of a darker mushroom taupe. Also, did you know this comes in mustard yellow (although not available in Nordstrom)…I like these shoes so much, I’m getting it in yellow. Good stuff people. ps. if you didn’t know, nordstrom is having a sale (like, right now!)…so this was on clearance.  It’s great not paying the retail price. store: nordstrom color: mushroom retail: $129 

Quilted Pastiche Maxi

This store’s pretty generous to the tall females, let’s face it. Am I right? This dress is a miracle for people like me, 5’2. I can actually wear flats in it and won’t look like I got swallowed by the dress. I can wear wedges and makes the dress even better because it makes me look leaner. The material is incredibly feminine, flowy, that just moves when you move. It’s a perfect summer dress with a built in slip, so it’s not see through, but thin enough that you won’t feel yourself sweating in it. Also, I found that it doesn’t wrinkle easily, which is great for those vacations and long hours of sitting. I feel so feminine in this dress…even moreso when there’s a flirty breeze in the air The color is better than the description because the gray looks a little more like a muted slate blue, contrasting well with the bright yellow I’m a Dcup, so the top actually fits great on me, although, to be more modest, I wear a tube cami underneath. i go go for man-go

In flutters w/ my newest nail polish color, inspired by #katespadeny. I found it at the dollar store. Orange mango. My fingers are happy as I type. I hardly go get my nails painted because to be honest, my nails take a beating every day.  I’m always using wipes, cleaners, scratching things off, washing dishes, strumming the guitar, and everything else that will waste away the polish.  It would just be financially inefficient to get my nails done every week.  I don’t even get to paint them myself. But today, yes today, I was inspired.  I was also tickled mango when I realized the nail polish color had matched my newly bought champagne mangos that were purchased on the same day. And yes! Darn it!  I’m blogging insignificantly about a color.  After the heavily laden week last week, I’d prefer not to delve into tough emotions.  I’m probably not ready, or rather not revisit it, so you’re going to have to just waste time reading on a simple indulgence.  At least for just today, ok? Sometimes, you just need to breathe and let a color make your day.What color is making your days a little brighter when you see it?
