Praise God! Despite the lack of sufficient study time, I’m really thankful and excited to say that I passed the Praxis II Test for English Language Literature Composition and Content Knowledge. Out of 200, I earned the passing score of 179, which was more than expected. The Praxis II is necessary to earn a teaching license in NJ to teach secondary education english. This also entitles my matriculation for the alt. route program for teaching english. This marks the beginning of another phase in our lives, so we’re just very excited for the new opportunities. Glory to God!
we celebrated by eating at red lobster a couple days early. then the whole family ate dinner at adelphia’s as a treat by my parents. after shopping that night, i got my loving presents from zem and perze who still manages to surprise me, as well as a sweet present from my sister stephanie. sunday night, the youth, rogie/lheila dropped by to spend my birthday over for dinner and friendly’s ice cream cake. i just want to praise God for another year, for his unconditional love, and esp. the beautiful blessings he showers me through my family, my friends, my church…He is good and his love endures forever. i also want to thank my parents, my family, my friends who left comments, called, videos, greetings, and my devoted husband and daughter who continue to make life so joyful. for full birthday blog: click on the twelvesixteen blog

God bless your little chloe! “If one feels the need of something grand, something infinite, something that makes one feel aware of God, one need not go far to find it. I think that I see something deeper, more infinite, more eternal than the ocean in the expression of the eyes of a little baby when it wakes in the morning and coos or laughs because it sees the sun shining on its cradle.” -Vincent Van Gogh
last weeked, we came home from the yb leadership retreat. rog had a coworker who lent us the place for free for four days in little egg harbor township. there was a total of 21 participants, including the 4 teachers. it focused on leadership through character studies, with the last session concluding with the theme verse found in phils. 2:3-4 and 2 tim.- paul’s laying down of his ministry. it ended up being an emotional retreat, as well as extremely funny weekend- with all the inside jokes and loony moments. we were all really blessed for God’s convictions that last night…and i’m just so thankful for the youth as well as for the sacrifices made by perze, rogie, and leila. forum testimonies retreat album
we just want to praise God for allowing perze’s immigration status to remain as an immigrant in the US. he received his greencard this month which also means we can start planning for our first trip to the phils. as a family this october. it’s very overdue, but we’ve patiently endured the distance. God is faithful in his promises. it’s something was just a dream when we first talked about starting a relationship so now that it’s here, it’s such a joyful feeling. next year, perze can apply for citizenship- the next step.
so we have the honor of being the best man and bridesmaid for our close friends rog & leila, as they become mr.&mrs. rabanillo next year on july 2008. our love stories are pretty much intertwined since i’ve always considered rogie as a brother. we were friends first around 2001. we became pretty close around 2002, when i met perze. then perze brought leila who i befriended. then rog ended up courting her a little before perze started courting me. rog and i would always confide in each other during these times, and as the years passed, from the dating stages to their engagement, we’ve always kept close. i’m really proud of how far they’ve come. so it’s only an honor to stand by my “adopted” brother and my friend. so next year, the ababa family, along with my parents, and samsam, will be in the wedding party. their engagement: two thousand seven, may 22 lei’s mom’s death anniversary their wedding: two thousand eight, july 12 south jersey bible church int.
