In honor of March 25, we will post this awesomely neglected pop culture video that was once pedestaled by Stephanie Ng, who turns another year older today. Life’s been great, having found her own cool rider. Love you te; happy birthday! Put on your black leather jeggings and turn it up. Readers. Give yourself 10 pts if you know the movie. 50 pts if you know the lyrics! 😉
Found these. Super cute. But the price, what body part do I not need to get a little money? So, these will go in my bin as one of those things I’ll never buy, but it could have been real. Little Bunny Shoe Shoe Flat Shoes by a European designer Minna Parikka. $274.99 Hop Couture Loafer These cute sophisticate shiny loafers go for $439.99! Same designer, same mindset and vision. But what makes it so romantic are the cursive handwriting inside the shoes. It’s like stepping into a cushion of sentiment.
I was looking through houses online with Elle on my lap. Every time I’d click on a house, she’d comment, “no, not that.” I was so entertained that I kept clicking more on houses so it gets easier for her through practice. My little songbird has been putting words together in pairs since February, but now it’s becoming more consistent as she experiments with phrases. Last night, her older sister was pinching her cheeks, so she confidently responded with, “stop it, Zi Zi!” Lastly, she loves to sing! Her vocabulary is so hard to keep up with now, but it continues to build because of songs- mainly songs from Barney, and right before bedtime when we’d sing for 30 mins.- songs she loves, repeatedly. By the end, I’m all sung out, 10 rounds of Row Row Row Your Boat, or Read Your Bible, Itsy Bitsy Spider, Somewhere in Brooklyn, Do You Want to Build a Snowman, Wheels on the Bus, etc., but she’s learning how to sing, rhythm, and words. Bedtime is really big for us because she’s focused and enjoying that time together just singing and talking.
If you’re a true fan, you know what today is. If you don’t know what today is, you are probably making fun of the rest of us, for today is…today is…today is the day I get to see my boyfriend again, Peeta Mellark. Yes, contain your excitement for today, the second installment of the Hunger Games comes out on DVD. If you’re a fan, you probably just lit up inside from giddiness, so much that you could step on a leprechaun. Just wanted to further your excitement and remind you that this time, you get to see your favorite underdogs in wedding garb. Love that last picture…I feel like you can hang them up in open air in the countryside with the rest of the clean laundry. Happy Hunger Games, friends and stalkers. May the odds be ever at your favor and multiple arrows in your quiver, and bread in your oven, spiles in your pocket…
Don’t leave, you’re at the right website! Yes! We finally updated our webpage theme and is slowly customizing every detail. It seems like it’s still a hodgepodge of little themes, but hopefully, in a few weeks, it’ll be completed and cohesive, ready to play. If you’re wondering what the background really is, click on “READ MORE”. I have this incredible fascination and deep appreciation for cut out paper art. So much so, that I’ll blog about it one day and showcase some of my favorite findings. Nevertheless, what do you think? Thumbs up? Fist bump?
Last month, we were able to go to PAMA’s grand reopening at their new location. There were demonstrations from all the various martial arts groups as well as side attractions for the participating kids. The girls got to get their faces painted and request balloon animals, etc. I was just proud to let them see their dad doing something he loves- Kali. During the demonstration, they got front row seats watching him wield eskrima sticks forcefully at his opponent. His journey has been one with dedication, despite long hours from work and commute, the pressures of home life, and driving back and forth for ministry. But this month, all his hard work has paid off, his passion in believing in the art, for now he is officially an instructor. (insert bruce lee domination move) Yay! Congrats to our Papa Bear! Hopefully, one of your cubs will follow suit.
We did something new this year and decided to make mix-cds for our friends… Of course, being the procrastinating dolt that I am, I mailed it 2 days before Valentine’s day, during the week of a major snowstorm, so people got it late, some got it destroyed, and some not even getting it at all 🙁 … Questions I got: 1) Who chose the songs? Well, I did…Perze actually was going to chose some because we both listened to it before I burned them, but he was busy at work that week and I procrastinated…so we went with what we had. 2) How did you choose the songs? I really wanted to add more 80s songs, standards, and 90s R&B but I didn’t want it to be too “womp womp” and sappy, sad, and depressing. So I went this songs that were cute, new, covers, fresh, and still meant something to me. It was really a mix, and it really showed my type of genre- coffeehouse folk. 3) Mine was broken. How can I get a new one? I have a link up. Message me and let me know if you want it… 😉 The sweet responses ranged from “thanks” […]
