Emma told me that her friend said her classmate Adrian said that Emma was hot. What?! 1st grade?  I would have thought it was more flattering to use more respectful words, but I guess media sets the language these days and the meaning gets lost until they’re taught otherwise.

I mean, I’m glad that when I was in 1st grade, boys were more respectful with their comments. What’s the 1980s equivalent to fugly?
