These next few days are going to be so busy so I already know we won’t be able to update our twelvesixteen, so just to put it out there, Merry Christmas to all our family and friends, stalkers and creepers. Everyone deserves a blessed Christmas to meditate on the wondrous blessings this year, albeit in disguise or in our ken.
I’m just thankful, every year- every Christmas, the meaning of Jesus’ on earth, and paving salvation for us all, gets deeper and deeper. If it’s not a well of hope for you this season, let me know how I can pray for you. I know I may not have all the answers and we may not have the same troubles, but God never gives us anything we can’t handle. Do you know why? Why all is well? Because He’s already given us the victory when He has made a way for salvation and the Holy Spirit came to dwell among us. Truly, Emmanuel- God is with us…the pain may still be there, but because of what God has done, because of who God is, because His love still endures, because He can be your strength, we can endure.
So despite it all, merry Christmas friends. Let your heart be light, because Jesus does love you. He’s proved it, to the ultimate degree on that first Christmas. He became human to encourage us that “God has not given us a spirit of fear and timidity, but of power, love, and self-discipline” (2 Tim.1:7). And so for the new year, I want to encourage you with this promise, one that continues to strengthen my heart above all, “Do not be afraid or discouraged, for the LORD will personally go ahead of you. He will be with you; he will neither fail you nor abandon you” (Deut.31:8).
Merry Christmas and Happy New Year.
Thanks for being a part of our lives.
God bless you!
