ok, so my loving husband convinced me into converting from pc to mac.
the conversion wasn’t an easy one, as we had both looked at the Sony and Apple stores, playing with laptops, talking w/ the salesreps. Finally, Perze asked, "please, please let me get you the Mac Air."
When he gets into these moods, there’s no turning down his gifts, no matter how much I try to convince him to take back his gift. I learned from a close family friend, that if someone chooses to bless you materially with a gift, you bless them by accepting it. And Perze really does feel happier when he uses his love language of giving.
Initially, I thought it would be difficult to adapt to Mac-dom. I thought I’d be annoyed, but here I am, 7:30 in the morning, substituting Em’s morning routine with blogging using my new blog-tool. (Thank goodness for inservice days!) I’m doing well with my new toy, my new AIR, light-as-a-feather and looking straight keen beautiful, typing quietly, moving efficiently, and I’m giddy just thinking about all the new possibilities with the programs. Nerd much?
My only hope is that I don’t become a Mac-zombie, one of those people who have to swear on a Mac, thinking I’d only use it because it’s what the cool people use, yet they don’t even know how to really use it. If you’re one of those people, don’t hate, don’t take it personally; you need to accept the swagger. I’m just saying, I can still rock the PC.
But for now, I’m looking for a name for my Mac Air. I tend to gravitate towards great writers, so if you have a witty idea, lend me the vision, you know? Cuz if my husband had it his way, he’d probably name it "Mac-guyv-Air" …
*and crickets*
