"The leather is gorgeous, soft and smooth, not like tough or wrinkled leather. The softness really resonates, even just by looking at it. The lining inside is great too, whimsical, with old rose pink & cute print. This jacket fits true to size. I usually buy small and the small fits me great. The only cons is that the shoulders are a little broader than I’d like, but not too much that I resemble a linebacker. I just wish that part was more fitted. Also, the sleeves are a little long, so the sleeves bunches a little if i want the cuffs to my wrists. I’m 5’2, and I guess this is built for a taller person. Other than those tiny details, I’ve been looking for this season’s leather jacket, and being a pretty picky person, this got the yes check mark from me!! Esp. for its sale price. So yeah!!
it’s when he says “i miss you” during his day. i know he means it, more than how it comes out.
Two days ago, I got a very unexpected message for someone I am not that close to, yet have met over a decade ago. It was a pleasant experience to have someone share with you some of their things, despite the unfamiliarity. Well, sister, I hope you don’t mind my archiving your encouraging words : “…i check in on your blog from time to time (which makes me feel stalkerish, but your family is really just too cute), plus you do such a wonderful job at recording your families memories and milestones that it is just a good read! i need to make more time to document, i seem to do it in spurts. also, it is also comforting for me to see that yall still hold the BASIC worship service and such. Life changes, but little "constants" like that sure can put a smile on a girls face! anway~ Good to hear from you, i know we dont keep in touch, but you are one of the sweetest souls i have ever met and i’m glad we got to cross paths nearly decade? …” thanks! God bless you and the family.
Last week, we promised Em that we’d carve pumpkins, esp. since she fell in love with the idea last year when we went to Vermont for the Pumpkin festival while we visited Ate Sally. Last Saturday, we went pumpkin picking, and today, we were able to carve her first pumpkin along with Zienne watching and envying the carving tools. So here’s the final product: “best friends’ castle” Yes, a castle. We fixed it to look more like a princess castle rather than an old rickety creepy castle, since Em loves her fairytales. Turned out pretty good, and I blame the anal side of me. Afterwards, Em placed a fake candle inside and it’s now outside, lighting our front step. She was so happy and proud with it. I love memories like this with my daughters. next project: hello kitty, owl
Last Saturday, we were able to go to our very first family outing at a pumpkin farm where we spent a good while picking the perfect pumpkins to carve for this fall season. We came home with four pumpkins, some dirt on our clothes, and a boatload of memories, and a really cute place to host a party, not to mention a really farm-like place to take pictures. The girls had a great time, esp. since they got to ride the pumpkin cart, pick pumpkins, run in the grass, and touch nature in the fall. I’ll have all the pictures up shortly 🙂 …
Over 70% clearance, I struggled with buying this dress, so I took a chance and bought it without trying it on. I’m so glad I did! It’s PERFECT for fall, and into winter. The fit is perfect, with just enough room for some looseness without it looking like it’s hanging on me. It’s pretty TTS, which is surprising because of all the reviews. I’m 5’2 and usually wear size 4, and the 4 fit PERFECTLY. The arms hung a little passed my elbows, and the arm hems weren’t too tight or constricting. I do wish it was a bit shorter, but i’m on the short side, so I could completely understand. Also the skirt hem hits below my knees, but is perfect for those knee high boots. You definitely have to belt it though to define the shape. But pair it with a gorgeous sage thick ribbon belt a few times and it changes the dress completely!!! The material is also so feminine and lovely, always flowing as you move. I’m extremely glad I took a chance…and WHAT A DEAL!!!
