I don’t really get discouraged when I blog. Sometimes people ask me when I find the time, but to be honest, it comes very easily to me and I don’t need too much time to blog about every day issues. It’s a little more difficult if I’m writing a devotion or article, but daily summaries, pleasantries, rants…those don’t require too much cognitive effort on my part. That’s just me; I’m used to writing. Most of the time, I tell myself to blog about daily activities to preserve the mundane memories, which won’t be so mundane in the future. I know my memory won’t remember everything I’d love to remember, but hopefully this will serve as a comfort for me as well as a treasure for my children. I hope this site will serve as a rich resource for them to know who their mom and dad are, how we met, things we’ve gone through with them, and how much we treasure them, family, God and His kingdom. This weekend, we were snowed in. It allowed us time to just spend together, without having to travel south, which is what we do every weekend due to church activities. So, the snow […]

So, recently I learned how to put make up on my brows. LOLS… Please don’t laugh, I was always a little slow with make up, but when I get to it, I’m pretty good. It’s like photoshop with a lot of brushes and blending. I also have a steady hand. For a mere $6, if you’re a brunette, get the dark brown with a highlighter. If you’re curious, comment me and I can tell you which one I used. Turned out really nice, with very easy application. I’ll try to post a picture next week after the Masquerade Ball.
This was a very much coveted dress of last year in my favorite store. Once it went on sale, it sold very fast and didn’t even last two weeks online. Retail was $188, so I continued to wait. It went down to $99 and I couldn’t bring myself to buy it although I absolutely loved it for its parisienne style and the extremely unique criss cross lacing in the back. Anyways, having lost all expectation that I’d ever own it, I was perusing one day and saw THE dress in MY size, the ONLY one of its kind in my hands. We were meant to be. So I look at the price and had a fashion gasp! It was…wait for it…wait for it…$19! With a smile on my face, I walked out of the store happy and here it is. Like? The scarf is from last winter’s TARGET, but my mom and I made it, ruffled it ourselves, as part of the ladies’ outfits for last Christmas Cantata. You can’t find that scarf anywhere, but watch for it to come in trend. The belt is also mine, but emma somewhat broke it so I’m gonna have to try to find […]
Today was extremely productive. Met up with Tony to look at a place, eat at IHop, pick up the new lease, then meet with the some administrative people to register Emma for Kindergarten. Ya, can you believe it? My darling will soon be attending school. It’s funny what you have to think about when your child is entering kindergarten, you know, small stuff that you take for granted, like knowing how to button their coat or zipper, how to wipe, how to make a phone call, or as simple as opening their zip-lock bag for their lunch, etc. Aside from that, in the middle of all the big things, I was able to finally tweak Twelvesixteen.net. I’ve been working on the banner and today I was able to incorporate our new color palette. There’s a little few more aesthetic to fix, and then come the big stuff like the layout. It seems every year we want to change our page into a new skin. And every year, we end up wanting it to more and more look like a newsletter and not just a blog. But I’m just glad because after 8 months, I’ve finally been able to put a […]
The only one on the sale rack left and it was my size. Wow. It was a sign, next to the sign that said sale. Two signs. hahaha It’s silk, with adjustable straps. Empire waist. The funny thing with this dress was that it’s loungewear, but if you know A., some of their loungewear is very much ready to wear, using the same materials in their ready to wear dresses. I tried it on just to make sure and a huge smile appeared on my face. It was lovely. It was feminine, and it was modest enough to wear outside. Granted, I’m a little more on the modest side, so I’ll be pairing it with a nice blue or yellow cami. I think if the material was satin, it would constitute a whole different type of vibe, but the silk makes it a summer dress. The best part is the intricate stitch work on the top. I included a picture to show justice to how lovely it is, which also makes it seem too good to just wear at home. There’s little flower buds, white baby blossoms, and leaves strategically on the top, seriously affirming spring! I’m really excited for […]
Yesterday, zem got a new pet @ Target. I told her she didn’t even play with mr.zhuzhu anymore and she said it was because he needed a new friend. She sacrificed her marshmallows, so I bought her the white one. She spent last night playing with her pet hamsters, with her newest addition, Miss ZhiZhi. Miss ZhiZhi likes pushing Mr.ZhuZhu around, a trait I find Mr.ZhuZhu needs to dismiss if he ever wants to marry Miss ZhiZhi. Maybe for Valentine’s day, we can get Mr.ZhuZhu some well needed pants, because so far, we know who’s wearing them. You can usually tell in couples, who’s wearing them.
