Here’s something from babycenter.com:
Mastered Skills (most kids can do)
• Recognizes your face and scent
• Holds head steady
• Visually tracks moving objects
Emerging Skills (half of kids can do)
• Squeals, gurgles, coos
• Blows bubbles
• Recognizes your voice
• Does mini-pushup
Advanced Skills (a few kids can do)
• Rolls over, from tummy to back
• Turns toward loud sounds
• Can bring hands together, bats at toys
So far, according to the charts, Zi’s accomplished all three tiers, even mastering rolling over from both sides, and picking up objects. Like her Ate Emma, she’s advanced. For complete chart, click here.
We had her fourth month appointment today. She’s a likely candidate for eczema (poor girl), like Em, but everything else is healthy. She still has a closed tear duct on her left eye, but it seems like it’s getting a bit better. We also transferred to a new pediatrician, who happens to be our family doctor. We really like him and trust him, so every visit seems like a trip to a friend. Visiting him is also more efficient, since he’s not transferring us to another nurse for shots. He expounds on all his observations and vaccines, and never rushes to get to the next patient. 🙂 Plus, Emma loves him.
Here’s the first video we took of Zi laughing at three months 🙂
Emma blog next time 😉
