Zi’s almost 2 months. After a month, she developed baby acne (like Emma), which is still ongoing, but it looks as if it’s progressively going away. I hope by next week, her skin will be smoother for her dedication. Right now, her cheeks are chaffing, hopefully making way for her new skin, without the pimples.
Her sleeping habits have been heavenly. She’ll go into a long sleep around 12am, which lasts around 4-6 hours. Then she’ll feed for a couple of minutes and resume the night’s rest for another 3 hours. I’ve found this to be quite beneficial to my sanity.
Her feeding is great. I nurse her for 90% of the time, only probably using 1 bottle during the day, or none at all. Then when Perze spends time with her at night, he’ll use at most, 2 bottles, then I take over and resume nursing her. She’s much chubbier than Emma at her age, and for some reason, I think it’s the breastmilk. Sometimes I call her ‘chibi chibi’.
chibi
It is an adjective that means small and/or miniature in a good or cute way. Normally used to describe (young) people or animals, and is endearing. This word, along with kawaii and several other Japanese words, have been taken by America’s "Wapanese" who have gone overboard in accentuating their English speech with Japanese words. "Chibi" was probably first introduced to the West through anime, and probably from the name of Sailor Chibimoon, in Sailor Moon.
She also smiles so much now, playing with you when you smile at her. She has these responsive coos and sounds when you talk to her. And just yesterday, she giggled- very short, very tiny, very cute. I even see her smile and play with the youth who get to hold her every weekend. That’s another thing, she’s very behaved when people hold her. Sometimes, even during church, I can leave her with Sarah, or Joy, or Jaspher while I have to play the piano or conduct choir.
