Today marked my last day on the 8th Floor. Am going to the 9th floor, where all the editors and product managers are. Actually probably 90% of our team is going up to the 9th floor. There is this vision of the company where IT and Editors will work hand in hand and sit beside each other, in other words downsizing. They are trying to streamline and combine both IT and newsroom personnel.

This is probably the wave of the future. Where developers are no longer a separate entity but smacked right in the middle of business folks. In our case, the editors.

We are moving floors this weekend. Come spring next year we are going to a brand spankin’ new building that’s by 8th and 43rd.
