pink red fall
today’s fall weather made me want to wear my GAP scarf and head downtown to window shop, drink coffee at a nearby small intimate cafe, and just take note of the leaves that have turned shy yellow.
the sweetest thing i remember living at home at this time is waking up and looking out my window to see this tree across the street just turn pink to red. Then afterwards, after some days, those red leaves start shedding, creating a huge circular blanket above the grass, above the roots that once gave it water.
how lovely this God we have, that our seasons pattern our lives…a time be born, a time to die, a time to grow, and a time … to fall…
