New Years 2016
1. Emma has moved to a new school and is making her mark with her teachers & peers. She was also accepted as the only 5th grader into the 6th grade orchestra, playing as 1st chair 2nd violinist. This is her 4th year taking violin lessons, almost graduating Book3. She's a voracious reader, esp. enjoying Adventure Fantasy books like "Keeper of the Lost Cities" and "School of Good and Evil". She is currently getting into the Harry Potter series. Emma is also a beginner in Eskrima & Jeet Kune Do, hoping to level up soon.
2. Zienne is an outstanding student, really standing out in her class as one of the best readers. Her teacher told us that she is so balanced in all of her subjects, excelling in every area. Perze and I are grateful at such great news because we hardly find time to focus on Zienne's skills, but it pays having an older sister who introduces concepts early to her. She is currently on her 3rd year of violin lessons, but we can quietly see her interest and self taught skills on the piano and vocals. She is her worst critic, pushing herself to more knowledge and ability.
3. Elle is a very outspoken 3 year old, who is complex in not just vocabulary, but delivery. The way she says things, or why she says things always make us do a double take, wondering where she learns subtle manipulations. She LOVES to sing, learning songs very easily, singing on key, and great at memorization! She knows over 10 memory verses now, hopefully tackling our family verse this year. She is becoming more proficient in her phonetic knowledge as I ask her to spell out sounds, hopefully opening the door to reading.
What tremendous blessings and milestones in the Ababa family! We praise God for His grace in provision and favor. May our family continue to be a vessel for His glory.
